What makes Hedera different?

Bitcoin uses blockchain — a chain of blocks added one at a time, roughly every ten minutes. Hedera uses something else entirely, called hashgraph. Instead of one block at a time, every computer on the network constantly shares information with every other computer simultaneously. Within seconds, the entire network agrees on the exact order of every transaction — without anyone being in charge of deciding it.

The result — 10,000 transactions per second. Finality in three to five seconds. A transaction fee that rounds to a fraction of a cent. And a network that's carbon negative, not just low energy.
